Day 1 

08:00 Departure from Quito to the Pristine area of Reventador
11:00   Visit tropical Orchid farm and the Cave of the Tayos. Beautiful 1-2 hour hike. Almost Guaranteed observation of the shy cave dwelling Tayo birds in their natural environment.
14:00   Lunch at Hostería El Reventador. After Lunch, time to relax by the pool and use the water slide.
16:00   Hike to the impressive San Rafael waterfall, the highest in Ecuador. Beautiful 1-2 hour hike.
19:00   Dinner and explanation about Reventador volcano and the hike into the Caldera. Lodging Hostería El Reventador

Day 2  Hike into the Reventador Caldera

07:00   Breakfast
08:00   Hike into the Reventador Caldera (4-5 hours)
12:00-13:00    Lunch at campsite in the Reventador Caldera
14:00- 18:00   Exploration of the Caldera, including the 2002 & 2004-2006 Pyroclastic and Lava flows.
18:00   Dinner at campsite. Free time to relax by the bonfire.

Day 3  Hike out of the Caldera

08:00   Breakfast
09:00- 10:00   Descend from the Caldera (3-4 hours)
13:00   Lunch at Hostería El Reventador. Free time to relax by the pool and use the water slide.           
17:00   Hike to secret nesting spot of the Cock of the Rock. 1-2 hour hike. Almost Guaranteed observation of the rarely seen Cock of the Rock birds in their natural environment.
19:00   Dinner

Day 4 Malo Waterfall and return to Quito   
       
08:00   Breakfast
09:00   Excursion to the incredible Malo waterfall. Optional return on inner tubes down the peaceful Malo River.
12:00   Lunch
13:00   Departure for Quito, on the way we will stop in Papallacta and relax in the Hot Springs.
18:00- 19:00   Arrival in Quito
