Feminism

Throughout the history, women always struggled to gain equality, respect, and the same rights as men. This has been difficult by all people because of patriarchy, an ideology in which men are superior to women and have the right to rule women.

Feminism has altered predominant perspectives in a wide range of areas within Western society, ranging from culture to law. It is a diverse collection of social theories, political movements, and moral philosophies. This is the idea that women should have political, social, sexual, intellectual and economic rights equal to those of men. And this idea comes because women don’t like to be treated shit by the men. Whether you are women in color, working class women, poor women, physically challenge women, lesbians or old women should practice to free there self from being discriminated by man.

Women have been oppressed for as long as history. This oppression is a very similar tragedy to the oppression that occurs daily towards all kinds of minority groups, but women are not a minority group.

There are types of feminism:

Socialist feminism traces the oppression of women to inequalities that developed in connection with the class system of private property.

Reformist feminists believe that gender inequality can be eliminated through legislative or electoral reforms without the need to alter the capitalist system itself.

Radical feminists target male psychology or biology as the source of woman’s oppression.

Cultural feminism is the theory that there are fundamental personality differences between men and women, and those women’s differences are special.

Libertarian feminist is based upon libertarian philosophies, with the focus on autonomy, rights, liberty, independence, and diversity.

Liberal feminism is a theory that will focus more on the idea that all people created equally and that education is the primary means to change discrimination.

It is very important to know that feminism is about equality by women and men, and not anger. To involve oneself in the feminist movement is to search for a higher quality of life for all people.
