06:00 Hotel Pick up.
Guagua Pichincha looms over Quito and has dumped ash on Quito many times. This Expedition will take us up a windy, 4x4 road to the rim of the crater, where on a clear day you can see all the way south to Chimborazo and all the way north into Colombia and everything in between. From the rim, you can appreciate the dome, recent craters, fumaroles and the smell of sulfer. Depending on climatic and volcanic conditions, we can descend to the inner rim. This is an incredible and unique journey. This trip can also be done for sunset or spending a night at the refuge hut or camping in the crater.

Afternoon return to Quito.
