During this 4 day journey, we will see the most important sights of the Cuenca area. It includes full day visits to the Cajas National Park, where you'll see over 230 lakes nestled in grassland hills towered over by impressive rock pinnacles. We will also visit the Ingapirca Inca ruins, which entails a beautiful drive through highland fields, where we will see llamas and the largest and most famous ruins in Ecuador. On the way back, a visit to the Biblian Monastery, carved into shear stone. We will visit the markets of Gualaceo (typical produce market) and Chordeleg (silver and other handicrafts). A visit to Cuenca would not be complete without a tour of the City, including the Panama hat Factory, the Tomebamba river, and the Ruins of "Todos los Santos", churches, museums and colorful parks. Time will be allowed to stroll amongst the many shops offering fine ceramic and marble artifacts. |
