This is an exclusive expedition being organized solely for COV participants and is subject to weather and volcanic activity. This is a camping trip and involves strenuous hiking. The journey starts with a stunning 5-8 hour hike through tropical forest, Cloud forest and finally opens up to the smoldered floor of the crater, where the dome, pyroclastic flows and lava flows are very evident. Our camp will be at the foot (couple 100 meters ) of a young flow and facing the mouth of the crater, allowing for great viewing of incandescent material and the moving lava flow. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. This expedition is subject to space, weather and volcanic activity.
